IPA100, International politics and globalization, 7,5 HE credits

Revision 7

In this course, we explore current issues in international politics through the main theoretical perspectives (realism, liberalism, and different critical theories) that analysts and policymakers use to understand the world around them. The course contains both learning the intellectual foundation of these perspectives and using them to learn about important world issues, both historical and contemporary. Besides giving a base upon which to continue to explore international relations in upper-level courses to follow, the aim is to show the power of these theoretical perspectives in shaping perceptions of, as well as actions in, the global political system.
